Karen Morrison is a fifth generation Oregonian.  She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Oregon State University.  She began her career teaching in Albany, later moving to Bend, then returning to Albany.  She was an administrator at Oregon State University, but after three years, she returned to the classroom at McNary High School in Keizer for a teaching career that spanned thirty years. 

A serious accident in 2005 caused her to change careers and become a Real Estate Broker with a focus on residential sales.  Despite beginning her real estate career in 2006, at a time when the market had started to plunge, she used her determination, local knowledge, and variety of resources to establish herself in the uncertain field.  She is driven to produce results for her clients and to successfully help them buy and sell their properties.  She has developed a team of lenders, title/escrow companies, inspectors and other professionals who maintain “results with integrity” as their mode of operation and focus.  Karen believes that “honesty is the best policy,” and she totally embraces Legacy’s company motto of Honesty, Integrity, and Experience. 

She is a principal broker and she has completed the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) courses to gain the knowledge and expertise to deal with the current market condition (which consists of many short sales and foreclosures) and to see that these transactions close smoothly.

Being a native Oregonian, and having lived in Salem, Albany, Corvallis, and Central and Eastern Oregon, she knows her state well and has a wide range of resources and contacts at her disposal.  She services the entire Willamette Valley and coastal areas.
