I have been married 53 years and I have three sons, one daughter, six granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter.  Before entering the real estate business, I worked in retail as a clerk and eventually as a large corporation territory sales manager.

I started my real estate career with representing residential sellers and buyers in both existing and new construction.  As I gained experience, I took on additional specialties like 1031 exchanges, rural small acreages, duplexes, and developable properties.  During the Measure 37 time period, when new land-use laws were introduced, I helped three different clients gain approval to divide their property.  Two properties were divided to allow ownership for each of the owners’ adult children.  The third was divided into four parcels of approximately ten acres, which we then developed into a country subdivision complete with roads, septic systems, and wells.  This became a two-year project for me and it turned out to be a very rewarding experience.  The feeling of total satisfaction I got from completing the project and accomplishing my goal of seeing an elderly couple with health problems be able to move into Salem, buy a  small house, and have the funds to care for themselves is one of the highlights of my real estate career.

As part of my effort to continue to learn about the business of real estate, I have received the Mortgage Resolution Services Certificate of Completion and received the designation of FACS, Foreclosure Alternatives Consultant.  This qualifies me to address short sale and bank foreclosure issues.

Outside Legacy, my favorite activities include playing basketball and golf, camping, fishing, traveling and reading.  I’m also active in my church.
