Legacy Real Estate Recognized at MVAR's Annual Awards Banquet

Last week the Mid-Willamette Valley Association of Realtors (MVAR) celebrated our community of brokers and industry affiliates at the annual Awards Banquet. We are proud to say that several of our brokers were nominated for an award - well deserved!

990 Broadway St NE - James Hauge was nominated for the Commercial Transaction of the Year award for his intelligent and strategic plan to sell Salem's new construction mixed-use building, 990 Broadway. The property sold within 6 days of hitting the market at a price higher than some thought the property would sell for. James executed a well-thought and visually stunning marketing plan that landed the property a new, local owner.

45th Parallel Building - Truth be told, it was the listing broker that was nominated for the Commercial Transaction of the Year award on this one. However, the buyer's broker, Phil Bailey, had a large part in the success of this sale. With many obstacles in their way of purchasing the property, including the need to sell $9M in multifamily properties, Phil and his buyer, a local investor, pushed through to close. Under this new ownership, the building offers over 60 spaces for lease with a niche to retail, creative office, and incubator development. Located close to I-5 and in the North Gateway Urban Renewal District, this property has not only nearly reached 100% tenancy, but they have plans for additional growth in the near future.

Kendra Helton, our broker of 2 years, was nominated for the REALTOR® Rising Star of the Year Award. In her first year as a broker, she nearly surpassed her goal for closed transactions and earned the Executive Club Award at RE/MAX Integrity. Over the past year she has expanded her reach into the commercial real estate niche, and manages our marketing and brand.

Thank you to our very own, Morgan Vanderwall, for actively nominating brokers she felt were deserving of recognition. Congratulations to everyone that was nominated.
