According to an article in the Statesman Journal, Pendleton Woolen Mills is opening at the Willamette Heritage Center, which is located at 1313 Mill St SE. The grand opening is scheduled for May 4th with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The center also houses the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill so Pendleton is a perfect addition to the location.
Thomas Kay established Oregon's woolen industry and founded the mill in 1896. Then in 1909, Kay's grandsons opened a mill in Pendleton, which then became Pendleton Woolen Mills.
The stores hours will be 10AM-4PM Tuesday through Saturday.
Other businesses at the center include:
Atelier Mela; a fine millinery and sewing studio
Teaselwick Wools; fine yarn and woolens retailer
Taproot Old Mill Cafe; additional restaurant location to the beloved downtown Taproot Lounge & Cafe
Beauty Boutique at the Mill; beauty salon
